Agriculture-focused Dignified Employment for Youth (ADEY)

Project Overview

The ADEY Project is a large-scale initiative led by the Ethiopian Agricultural Transformation Institute (ATI) in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation. To manage the program’s goal of creating dignified employment for 600,000 youth (80% women), ATI collaborated with HISP Ethiopia to contextualize and extend the DHIS2 platform.

This digital transformation project spans six partner organizations and eight regional ATI sites, automating data management for both the ADEY program and the Integrated Monitoring and Performance (IMP) framework. By integrating these stakeholders into a single digital ecosystem, the project ensures high-fidelity tracking of national employment goals.

Core Objectives

The primary objective of this project is to automate and standardize data management through the implementation of DHIS2 Aggregate and Tracker configurations. This transition replaces manual processes with a streamlined system for real-time performance tracking and reporting.

Technical Approach

To meet the complex requirements of the ATI and the IMP, HISP Ethiopia deployed a multi-faceted digital solution:
