HISP Ethiopia Participates in the DHIS2 Annual Conference 2026!

HISP Ethiopia proudly participated in the DHIS2 Annual Conference 2026, held from June 15–18, 2026, where global implementers, partners, and digital health leaders came together to explore the latest developments across the DHIS2 ecosystem.

The conference provided an important platform to engage with emerging innovations, practical use cases, and recent advancements in DHIS2 that continue to strengthen data use, interoperability, analytics, and digital transformation efforts across sectors. Discussions and presentations highlighted how DHIS2 is evolving to support a wide range of country needs and implementation contexts.

A notable highlight of the conference was the growing use of DHIS2 beyond the health sector, particularly in education. A presentation by Nigeria’s Minister of Education demonstrated how DHIS2 is being leveraged to strengthen education information systems and improve evidence-based decision-making.

The event also showcased increasing interest in DHIS2-based electronic medical records (EMRs) and other digital health innovations, reflecting the platform’s expanding role in strengthening health information systems globally.

HISP Ethiopia was also pleased to be part of a strong Ethiopian delegation, which created valuable opportunities for knowledge sharing, experience exchange, and strengthened collaboration among institutions working to advance digital systems in the country.

In addition to learning from global experiences, the conference provided HISP Ethiopia with the opportunity to engage with partners and stakeholders on ongoing initiatives and future areas of collaboration.

HISP Ethiopia remains committed to contributing to the continued advancement of DHIS2 implementation and digital transformation efforts in Ethiopia and beyond
